Food Flexibility

Unlike most wedding venues, we give you the freedom to select your own food and drinks. At Chelsea Party Loft, you can bring your own food from home, hire a caterer or have food delivered to our door. You are also welcome to bring your own alcohol or hire a mobile bartender.

Chelsea Party Loft is conveniently located at 1115 S. Main St. in the Chelsea Village Plaza. This charming commercial center is just minutes from historic downtown Chelsea, and an easy drive from Dexter, Ann Arbor, Jackson, Saline, Ypsilanti, Grass Lake, Manchester and Pinckney. Handicap spaces are available, and there are no stairs to climb.

How much does it cost to host a micro wedding at Chelsea Party Loft?

Our intimate wedding venue pricing is designed to keep your budget focused on your marriage, not a massive facility fee. Weekday hourly rates (Monday–Thursday) start at just $99 per hour. Weekend rates are $149 per hour on Fridays and Sundays, and $199 per hour on Saturdays. A flat $50 cleaning fee is applied to all rentals.

What wedding amenities are included in the rental price?

Unlike traditional Southeast Michigan wedding venues that charge extra for every fork and chair, your rental fee includes exclusive use of the entire space plus our complete event inventory. You get full access to tables, chairs, elegant linens, and chair covers. For your reception, we include a Bluetooth sound system, professional party lights, our signature VIP Tiki Lounge, a greenery Selfie Wall, audio guestbook and an interactive 360 Video Booth.

Chelsea Party Loft is western Washtenaw County’s premier small wedding venue. Our central location makes us a convenient drive for couples and guests coming from Ann Arbor, Chelsea, Dexter, Jackson, Grass Lake, Manchester, Pinckney, Saline, and Ypsilanti.

We are located in the Chelsea Village Plaza, at 1115 S. Main St. in Chelsea, Michigan. We share an entrance with Subway, Nogginz hair salon, and the Secretary of State office.

Is there free parking for wedding guests?

Yes. We offer abundant, free, and well-lit parking just outside the venue, ensuring easy arrival and departure for your entire guest list.

Is Chelsea Party Loft fully accessible?

Yes. To accommodate all family members on your big day, our venue is entirely ground-level with no steps or stairs. The building features two fully ADA-compliant restrooms.

How many guests can attend a micro wedding or elopement?

We specialize in intimate gatherings. Chelsea Party Loft comfortably seats up to 40 guests for a seated ceremony or reception, and can accommodate up to 50 guests for a cocktail-style, standing-room celebration. This makes us the ideal size for true micro weddings, elopements, vow renewals, second weddings, and bridal showers.

What kind of atmosphere does the venue offer?

Our space is a versatile, modern blank canvas with a lively, celebratory edge. Whether you want an elegant, candlelit micro ceremony, a cozy lounge vibe or a high-energy dance reception with our built-in club lighting, the layout easily adapts to your unique wedding vision.

Can we use our own wedding caterer or bring our own food?

Yes. We are a fully open-vendor venue, which allows you to keep your wedding highly affordable and completely customized. You are welcome to hire your favorite professional local caterer, set up a casual buffet, arrange a gourmet charcuterie table, or bring in custom dessert bars and food carts.

Do you offer all-inclusive food or reception packages?

Is there an on-site kitchen for food preparation?

We provide a dedicated food prep and storage area with a sink for staging and cleanup. Guests are welcome to bring chafing dishes and other serving appliances.

Is alcohol allowed for wedding toasts and receptions?

Yes, alcohol is permitted for adult celebrations and wedding receptions. Please connect with us directly before your booking to discuss our specific safety policies, licensing requirements, and venue guidelines for bar service. Please note: anyone consuming alcohol must be prepared to show a valid ID showing proof of age.

Can we decorate the venue for our ceremony and reception?

Absolutely. We encourage couples to personalize the space. Chelsea Party Loft is perfectly suited for custom floral installations, balloon arches, fabric backdrops, neon wedding signs, and personalized centerpieces that reflect your style.

Is setup and decorating time included in my reservation?

Rentals of three or more hours will receive one hour of free setup time. For shorter rentals, your decorating and vendor delivery windows must fit within your total hourly block. We recommend reviewing your timeline with us during booking so we can help you plan a stress-free day.

Who handles the cleaning at the end of the night?

We handle the heavy cleaning for you! To give you peace of mind, you can have one hour to gather your personal items, décor, and leftover food or gifts, and our team will take care of the rest.

What is the cancellation and refund policy at Chelsea Party Loft?

Please note that all deposits are non-refundable. Our updated policy regarding cancellations is as follows:

Cancellations with 30+ Days' Notice: If you cancel your event at least 30 days prior to the scheduled start time, your deposit will be held as a credit. This credit can be applied toward a future date, subject to availability.
Cancellations with Less Than 30 Days' Notice: Cancellations made within 30 days of the event are not eligible for a refund or a credit transfer.
